Treasure Hunting

One could argue that treasure hunting in the southwest actually started with Francisco Vasquez de Coronado and his search for the fabled lost cities of Cibola. But there have been thousands since, whether you are looking for the Lost Treasure of Tumacacori, the Lost Dutchman, Lost Pegleg Mine, or even Pancho Villa’s lost rifles.

There are enough treasure hunting stories to fill a lifetime of one’s imagination and excite the soul. With the invention of metal detectors, and the use of ground penetrating radar along with Google Earth, it should be easy to find…. Right ??
